A 3D Graphic Adventure From Artworx Design
1991.
Deep in the Arizona wasteland lies the US
nuclear base EUROPA. It holds one of the most
horrific nuclear warheads known to man.
JOSHUA! An unfortunate technical error has
left the warhead unstable. You have been
assigned to shutdown the main computer system
before it launches Joshua. Beware though, the
computer can sense your presence and will try
to prevent your advances throughout the base.
Equipped with only a directional remote
system and a laser, you are lowered by
helicopter into the central grounds. Search
out the security cardkeys which will enable
you to access rooms and activate computer
systems. Only with these will you be able to
explore deeper into the base and achieve your
final objective. Good luck!
HINTS:
------
Activate everything! Shoot most things, but
be careful! Make position saves! Try to map
the complex! An important thing to remember
is the left lift goes up and the right goes
down... you'll see what I mean. There are 12
cardkeys to collect in all and a maximum
score of 630 is possible.

This game was created on an A2000 using
Incentives/Domarks excellent (but very
bugged) 3D CONSTRUCTION KIT over a 2 month
period (August - September 1991).
Credits go to: Simon Dayton - Game design,
Graphics & Engineering.
Derek Purkiss - Game Testing & Debugging.
Jonathan Moodeen - Area architecture & Game
Design.
The superb music is from the Scoopex demo
GLORY STARS and was composed and written by
OSTERMAN.

CONTROLS
--------
The on-screen icons are self explanatory
apart from the two bars either side of the
screen. The left bar with the 'E' underneath
is your ENERGY BAR. When the red bar reaches
the bottom, you die and the game will
restart. The right bar indicated by the 'L'
is your LASER POWER. Once depleted, your
laser will no longer work, although laser
power packs can be found within the base and
will restore a limited amount of power.
On top of the control panel is your score and
a timer. The timer starts at 4000 and
decreases by the second. Once zero is
reached, Joshua will launch and the game will
end.
The two text panels on the bottom area
indicate your position in the base and any
messages given. Keep an eye on the message
panel. There is also an indicator for the
amount of cardkeys held.
Pressing the directional icons with the left
mouse button will make you move slowly. Use
the right mouse button to speed things up.
Also the left mouse button will fire the
laser while the right button will activate
objects within a certain distance by placing
the crosshair on them.
If you prefer to use the keyboard, these are the icon equivalents:-
